Finally moved out…and updates!

Hey, and welcome again to the Fender Flier website!

It’s been a nice, long, while since I last updated this site and what can I say? I’m a busy man! I just moved out of the house…after EXACTLY 24 months of living at home with the parents. Finally I feel free again! Things are picking up at work again and I have three students who are all just post solo…which means it’s time for cross country….and that means more money for savings!

Up on the plate for this month:

Buy New Domains and Hosting
Buy the things I need in the apartment
Travel to another state for some reason…haven’t been out of Los Angeles in a while
Lose another 10 pounds
Decide what I’m going to wear for Halloween

We’ll see how much of this I actually get done….speaking of which I actually have five other websites that I haven’t finished yet….talk about being a slacker!

Flight Instruction Renewal Complete….

….but now I feel like shit…literally….what did I eat? I mean seriously? It’s been a few days of feeling like a dump-truck struggling to get over a hill with a load. I don’t want to go into detail here but the healthier I’ve been eating and the more weight I’ve been losing…the more constipated I’ve been getting. This is bullshit! I mean what the fuck guys?!?!

Okay, well I’m done with my CFI renewal…finally! That was the worst thing I’ve gone through in the past few months….I mean seriously, how many sections do you have to go through? It told me 6 in the beginning but it turned out to be 8! 8! 8 sections total! …and after each section you have to wait 100 minutes for “study time”! Are you kidding me? Why would I need 100 minutes to study shit that I practice EVERY DAY!

I’m not even mad….just sitting on the shitter reflecting on the last 36 hours of my life.

Late Night Flight Instruction….Renewal

Well well well…here we are…it’s 3:42AM on Wednesaday June 23 2010 and I’m working on my CFI renewal…while chatting on a MISC tinychat. You’d never imagine how difficult it is to study the different levels of learning while listening to college students go on and on about how awesome they are…Oh MISC how I love you!

Here’s my first bit of aviation advice to those of you who teach people to fly, renew your shit early….and if you’re in a bind DO NOT use the American Flyers system! Sure American Flyers is a one time fee…but at what cost? You have 100 minutes between each quiz….100 minutes…that’s almost two hours! I mean it only takes you ten to fifteen minutes to get through a section and then you’ve got to wait 100 minutes! Lets be cereal here for a momen….100 minutes! I could have been DONE with the AOPA class by dinner time tonight!

I digress….here’s the moral of my story for tonight…don’t wait till the last minute to renew your CFI….and if you do…choose AOPA or Gleim!

Another day working on this website and learning how wordpress actually works. Does anyone know how to actually change the damn leaf image over there? Nah, I’m kidding but seriously…this is actually 10 times harder than I thought it would be!
